Yes. All visitors to Costa Rica must have a valid Passport from their Country of Residence. Your passport must not be scheduled to expire within 90 days of your arrival date here. Your Passport must be in good physical condition with no tears or any type of separation of the photo page or main information page. If your passport is worn, torn, tattered or damaged we strongly suggest you get it replaced with a new one ASAP and before you leave for Costa Rica. 

We also suggest that you make a photocopy of your passport prior to arrival. While in Costa Rica, you must carry your original or photocopy of your passport, with a copy the entrance stamp page, on your person at all times. Carrying a copy ensures that your original passport is not lost or stolen while you are here.

Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) is the closest airport to Jaco Beach. With the completion of the new highway CR 27, it’s a quick and scenic 1.5hr ride from the SJO airport to Los Sueños / Jaco Beach. 

It’s a very scenic and enjoyable ride, offering multiple photo opportunities. There are plenty of places to stop and eat, as well as use restrooms along the way.
